Summary

This article explains that diaries of weather details from an age before the 19th century standardized thermometers are proving of great value to scientists who today's climate. The author says most historians found that accounts of disasters and extreme weather events are in the records. Reaction

When I approched this article, I was interested it only because today many countries are undergoing an unusual change of weather, so I had curiosity about how these records have influence on testing climate change. I agree our ancestor's records can contribute to study for scientist's study of climate. They already experienced an early age of weather. So they had more information about the weather than this age. I hope the records help us solve the problem of weather.
